5th Sunday Event
5th SUNDAY SPECIAL EVENT AND FILM SCREENING - SUNDAY, JANUARY 31, 2016 – The documentary film, titled “When God Left the Building,” will be screened at St. Paul on January 31, 2016 during a special 5th Sunday worship event. In lieu of our regular worship schedule, we will view the 80 minute film in the Social Hall starting at 9am, followed by a discussion of the film and its relevance to St. Paul. We will end the morning with a special worship service at 11am in the Sanctuary! We hope to involve all of St. Paul in this special Sunday!
“When God Left the Building" reveals the decline of the American church and focuses on the current spiritual climate. Churches who have viewed this documentary have been moved to re-examine their mission and seek new ways to reach out in ministry to their communities and the unchurched and be the church to the world. Following the viewing of the film, we will engage in an interactive discussion as the start of a continuing conversation to focus us on those things necessary to sustain St. Paul as a vital, healthy church. Plan now to participate in this crucial conversation.
