Music

START THE YEAR OFF ON A HIGH NOTE. PARTICIPATE IN MUSIC AT ST. PAUL!

Whether you are a current participant in music at SPUMC, or are considering joining us, please review the updated schedule. I hope you will read about the various music-making opportunities available, and consider making a joyful noise to the Lord through ringing or singing. There are opportunities for children, youth and adults.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ MUSIC?

No. We hope to create quality musical experiences and offerings for worship that are accessible to a wide range of musical abilities and experience.

AM I GOOD ENOUGH TO BE INVOLVED IN THE MUSIC MINISTRY AT SAINT PAUL?

Yes. No audition is necessary for any of the groups! If you have a song in your heart and are looking for a way to express it for the glory of God, but are unsure whether your abilities are suitable for either the choir, handbell ensemble, or any other musical group, please contact our Music Director. He can meet with you individually if you wish, to determine the best way for you to contribute to the music ministry. Can’t find the time to meet with him? Simply show up at rehearsals!

DO I HAVE TO BE AT EVERY REHEARSAL AND PRESENT EVERY SUNDAY?

No. While it’s wonderful if people can commit to regular participation, we know that people lead lives that often take them in many different directions.

DO I HAVE TO BE MUSICAL IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?

No. There is more to being involved in a musical group than just producing music. Want to know more? Contact Ryan Pick.

WHO DO I NEED TO SPEAK TO?

If you are interested in participating in any of the musical groups at Saint Paul UMC or if you want to present music as a solo or with a group, please contact our Music Director:
