Our Mission
We believe God has created each child as a unique and wondrous individual. We strive to consider the needs of every child and provide a safe and nurturing environment promoting their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. We believe as parents and teachers, God has entrusted these little ones into our care to shape and to guide.
What to expect at St. Paul Preschool
St. Paul UMC operates a preschool for children ages 2 to 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and offers pre-school and after-school programs. In July and August, we run a summer camp for ages 2 through rising fifth graders.
The curriculum is thematic in nature and faith-based, presented with a multi-sensory, multi-level, hands-on approach in an age-appropriate manner. Our goal is to nurture the natural link between play, development, and learning. We provide small class sizes with a maximum of 12 children and a 6:1 children-teacher ratio, which exceeds the requirements for the state of Virginia.
